• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Goodbye

Yes, it is different. But at the same time, it is the best one that I have found for the spyder community. I am grateful that someone was able to take it over and keep it going. That is a task that not many would undertake. I am getting older and hate change, but that is something that I have...

How much weight do you tow?

You are correct. The tongue weight is 40 pounds max. They really play it safe with those weights. I have a rack for the rear of the F3T from BRP and the max for that is 10 pounds. I purchased another one since then, but they only thing I used the other one for was a small bag with our rain...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

With a stretch of five 100+ degree days in the forecast, with heat index from 105-110, I had to get out this weekend. Got with a couple of friends on Saturday and did a nice little 160 mile ride early in the morning. The goal was to get home before 12, but we missed it by 45 minutes. And you...

    Canyon Carving on a Canyon

Nice review. I have not had a chance to ride one yet, so I will save my opinion. Who knows, I might be surprized like I was with the F3 series. I was having my 2014 RT serviced and got a chance to ride a 2016 F3T. All I could talk about was the small frunk and how much it looked like a lawn...

How can I remove the passenger seat when the key will not work?

I think the OP was trying to remove the rear seat on a F3 series. The one you are referring to is for a RT series. I have both, and have never had an issue with the RT. But my F3 rear seat is still stuck on. I will possibly try again one day soon, and hopefully have the success that the op had.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Hadn't ridden my Spyders or 2 wheeler since returning from the cross country trip on 6/10. Plans for a ride on Saturday got postponed due to having to pick my daughter up from the airport and doing some car shopping with the wife. This is all after picking up windows for my daughters home...

Why has the Mid-West become a Spyder Rally Wasteland???

We have a core group that has been going to the NC/Tenn mountains every year since 2008. We still have anywhere from 8-14 Spyders and Rykers that go. No, we don't have vendors and installations, but we do have a local group and we have 'Tech Days" that allow people to order items and learn how...

What psi are you running in your Canyon's Rear Suspension Air Bag?

Not sure about the Canyon, but on the 2014 RT and 2016 F3T that had a manual point for inflation, it gave a psi dependent on the weight that was being on the bike (driver, passenger, luggage).

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Took the Givi box off the F3L and gave it a good cleaning. While I was at it, I decided to take that large F4 windshield off and put my summer stock windshield back on. Lots more air flow and it still gives me enough protection for shorter rides. -

Finally gonna finish my 48 State tour!

    - - - - I'm the young guy to the right. ;) I had to try to post some of them again, just to see if I finally got the hang of posting. We are 60 (in a few weeks), 69, and 76, starting from the right.

Finally finished my lower 48 state tour!

As the title says, I finally finished the lower 48. Last year we took 21 days and did 36 states for a total of 9,045 miles. This year we left on June 1 and returned on June 10 after finishing the northeastern 12 remaining states. It was an awesome ride, totalling an additional 3,357 miles...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I placed my 54L Givi box on the rear rack of my 2016 F3L. I was still not able to get the rear seat off to check the air pressure in the bladder, but I will have to deal with that when I return. Loaded one saddle bag with the items that I hope to not need during the 2 week trip (tools, battery...

What are the maintenance expectations on either a Spyder F3-S or F3-T?

They are not hard to do typical maintenance like oil changes and some tire installations. Oil change takes place at 3,000 for the first one and 9,200 afterwards. Some do it more often, but I have found it to be fine at 9,200 or once a year. Tires should last (on average) 10k-15k miles or...

    Proper break-in on new Spyder

I guess I am the worlds worst for proper break in. On my first new Spyder (a 2014 RT), I took it on a 500 mile day trip from Raleigh to the NC mountains, where I did the BRP from Boone down to Little Switzerland. Once there, we did the Rattler and made our way back on I-40. On my second new...

    FS: 2018 F3-T SE6 Road Warrior Foundation #4

Although I have 2 spyders, I would love to have this one. If it was closer, I would actually consider selling one of mine to purchase this one. Great bike at an awesome price.
