• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I like that fender. Do you have a link?

My Cruise control won't allow me to accelerate just by twisting the throttle - Is this normal?

As Peter said, twist the throttle far enough to get past it's current position on cruise and it should accelerate.

Anybody using an aluminum frame enclosed trailer to tow their Spyder?

Mine is a 8.5x28' InTech ICON, but I tow more than just the Spyder in it. InTech makes a full line of Aluminum trailers, and they're one of the best out there. They ain't cheap, though.

    Random thought for the day

Loved those movies. Leslie Nielsen was the ONLY guy who can ever play that part. 🤣 🤣 🤣 The new one with Liam Neeson just doesn't do it for me. I couldn't even watch the whole thing, Neeson just isn't right for this type of comedy. I wonder if they picked him because they had the...

    Life's Little Pleasures...

Thanks for your service. Electronics has been a great career for me as well, though I did end up in nuclear power, which allowed me to use and develop a much wider variety of skills.

    Life's Little Pleasures...

I think that many of us wish we could go back and say THANKS to our parents. We didn't always appreciate them at the time, but realize just how much they loved and cared for us later in life. 🙏❤️

Need help with adjusting belt tension & alignment please? Any step-by-step guides?

The frequency can be calculated based on the free distance between sprockets and the belt specs. I think I saw a spreadsheet that would make the calculations for you. Try Google.

    Life's Little Pleasures...

I know it's a PITA, but this is why I like states that have an annual inspection requirement. I've traveled a lot, and some of the stuff I've seen in Arkansas and other no inspection states is scary as hell. 😵‍💫

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Very good description of the brake bedding procedure. The first few heat cycles will impact the performance of those pads for their entire life.

This was Too Close to an 'accident'!

I guess I'm in the minority, but it looks like you cut him off. He was already catching up to you, and moving into the passing lane, before you moved into his lane. No matter how fast you think you are, keep in mind that someone else could be faster.

Does anyone have actual experience with Mighty Max batteries?

I have 3 Mighty Max batteries. One is on a trailer as the breakaway battery, and the others are a 50ah and a 100ah powering UPS's, one for my network, and the other for my CPAP and phone chargers on my nightstand. All were bought in 2019 and 2020, and both of the larger ones are still working fine.
