• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone touring on a Ryker?? Experiences?

    (y) The bungee material came in the other day and I made up some elastic bands that hold the wedges together as Peter mentioned so they don't flop around. I'll be doing some stuff out in the garage over the next few days so I'll play with them to see how they work out using various objects as...

Anyone touring on a Ryker?? Experiences?

No range anxiety there!! UPDATE: The skinny bungees I have are too short and won't stretch far enough to couple a couple of the wedges together. I got some of the elastic material and will make some up that will work, and go from there.

Appreciate that. I've got a number of skinny bungees that came packed in with containers of regular-sized ones. Not sure how far they stretch out but will give them a whack and see. They've got metal hooks on each end so will need to make sure those are positioned out of the way to avoid...

Anyone touring on a Ryker?? Experiences?

FWIW - I picked up some of the wedges to give them a try but found that they become a little unwieldly to handle once you try stacking one on top of the other. You almost have to build up the stack with zero air pressure to begin with and get them under, and right against your lift point with...

Sarah, curious about what your reason was for changing out the front shocks? What improvements (if any) did you notice between the OEMs and the replacement shocks from Amazon?

Did see the bulbs and was wondering how many squeezes was required to make a bag useful. Thank you.

Anyone touring on a Ryker?? Experiences?

I’ve been following the thread because I intend on doing a little touring with my ’22 Sport this year. Took a few short trips last year, but planning on several longer ones during the coming months. Fortunately, my Sport came with the SE three-piece luggage set, and the Ultimate seat...

Review: The Can-Am Ryker... A Great Ride!

Curious - have you been using the Gates belts solely since your initial change from the original OEM belt?

We're experiencing Unusual Southern Weather... with pics!

Ya’ll remember Al Michaels quote/call during the Miracle on Ice hockey game? Well, that’s what’s going through my mind right now. A huge dump truck with a spreader on the back just lumbered down our road putting salt/sand down. It just made a second pass so it looks like they’re hitting the...

FWIW - the banter about unusual weather continues on that MC forum I mentioned, and something interesting came up yesterday. In the conversation... gbyoung2 said: https://forum.concours.org/index.php?threads/show-us-your-unusual-southern-winter-weather.58852/#post-704171 "Our brick (veneer)...

We're experiencing Unusual Southern Weather... with pics!

That happened to my truck yesterday sometime after I had gotten back from a run to the store. After I'd been back in the house for a couple of hours, my wife asked me what I'd put on my truck. When I looked out at the truck from the rear through our front window, it looked like a stiff rug had...

We're experiencing Unusual Southern Weather... with pics!

Around here, most of the main roads now seem to be clear, the neighborhood roads, not so much. They’re still covered with ice. Temps yesterday stayed below freezing, and with single digit temps last night, nothing much has changed. They’re saying the high today will be 30 degrees, so it will...

We're experiencing Unusual Southern Weather... with pics!

I’ve got a rarely driven 4WD capable truck that I may take out today to run to the store a little later; we’ll see. It should to be able to plow through the ice-covered snow from where its parked to make it to the still ice-covered road. We were prepped for the anticipated power outages due to...
