• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Brought my Canyon home on a 6' x 12' U-Haul

FYI - I saw an article that said tying down the front tires thru the spokes with straps may affect the front alignment. It mentioned that tying down at the "A" arm points would eliminate that issue.

Sarah - I believe you're correct. Somehow, I thought that adjustment also applied to the Canyon. Thank you.

Enjoying my Redrock with Unlimited access to all roads!

In Idaho, a lot of the gravel roads are Forest Service or Bureau of land Management. Maintenance can vary by location.

Enjoying my Redrock with Unlimited access to all roads!

Some less used gravel roads have the center track, where the rear wheel would travel, covered sometimes in clumps of grass or weeds. Also, the center track can be higher than the tracks four wheeled vehicle drive on. This condition may be a problem??

    First Canyon XT Post!

From what I've since read, the foot pegs have (5) positions along a sliding rail and the connected brake pedal can be moved up or down for your best position. Maybe front highway pegs are not really needed, since you can adjust the foot pegs and brake pedal position?

    First Canyon XT Post!

If you can lower the pegs(?) the brake pedal would then be above the pegs. Not a good idea in my opinion. I got to ride a Canyon XT at the dealer two days ago and really liked it. Narrow seat and 3"+ taller seat was fine. Had to remember to use foot brake at times since I have a hand brake on my...

    First Canyon XT Post!

I'm selling my Spyder to buy an XT. Sat on an XT at the dealership and liked the taller narrow seat. Have you considered highway pegs to extend your legs? I've got long legs. My only issue is having to bring back my right foot to operate the brake pedal.

Is a Handbrake for the Can Am Canyon Redrock/XT available?

I have a front right handlebar handbrake on my 2016 Can Am Spyder RTS SE6. I really like it with my longer legs. I'm considering a Can Am Canyon XT but really would like a handbrake option plus forward foot pegs accessory. I found foot pegs to extend my legs, but nothing on any possible...

Battery Tenders - should you use them or not?

I will disconnect the negative terminal on the battery of my 2016 Spyder RT-S if it will not be used for any extended period of time. My small part in not wasting energy and helping the environment. If one of my vehicles will sit all winter, when Spring comes I may put battery on charger and...

Want a lower shipping rate/cost to get seat fm TX to ID?

I want to purchase a used seat for a 2016 Can Am Spyder RT-S that is located in Ft. Worth, TX, and have it shipped to Hagerman, ID, 83332. Shipping rate quote via UPS was $212.00. Can't ship via USPS because of size. Does anyone have any idea of a less costly shipping rate??? FYI - I was...

    Need advice on Obstacle avoidance?

I generally ride near the center line on a two lane road. This gives me space to move right or left if something in front of me. Still must watch for on coming traffic. The scent of the first skunk I hit with my rear tire stayed with me for miles. That really showed me the difference between...
