• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Front wheel hop when braking - suspension arm bushes, or... ?? Any help?

Another update. First started off this morning with a complete brake fluid flush using BUDS2. No help. Then swapped my 2025 S2S wheels onto the problem child. Same exact Vredestein tires at the same pressures. No help. Then I committed a cardinal sin of vehicle maintenance. I swapped in a used...

Front wheel hop when braking - suspension arm bushes, or... ?? Any help?

An update. I tried Ron's advice and removed the front Centramatic balancers. Actually did a 3 step torque on the lug nuts. By hand, then to 40, then to final 77 lb/ft. with a calibrated torque wrench. The problem was marginally improved, but still unacceptable. I believe that whatever is the...

Front wheel hop when braking - suspension arm bushes, or... ?? Any help?

Thank you both for your replies. Ron, during a search for this problem you had posted somewhere that the arm bushings should be lubricated. Can you elaborate on that for me? The tires are set at 18 and even from side to side. Wouldn't a failed Centramatic cause vibration all the time? This thing...

Front wheel hop when braking - suspension arm bushes, or... ?? Any help?

I'm working on a friends 2023 RTL that has a severe wheel hop when doing moderate to hard braking. Both front wheels visibly hop very rapidly as if the brakes were grabbing and releasing very rapidly. Here's a list of what I've done and/or checked... Spyder bought new by current owner. Has...

Can I Replace the oil sump pan on a 2019 RT Limited or does the dealer have to do it?

I agree with all comments above. Try to get something under the head of the plug to pry downward on. If the threads are completely stripped out, all thats holding it in are the o-rings. It might just pop out. If there's any thread left at all, you will want to turn it while prying downward. If...

Battery Bracket Questions (all models) Noco NLP20 related

We use that battery on our 2025 RT S2S and 2021 F3L. I used the plastic bottom spacers to get to the approximate height of the stock battery. Then I ground down a slight bit of the original mounting bracket until it fit snugly in the top of the NOCO. This way I could still use the stock bracket...

    BUDS 3 has arrived!

BUDS3 requires a new interface and license to use. Current software version is 1.27.001 and is a whopping 1.7GB download! The software only works with a V800 diagnostic device. It will not work with the older MPI3 devices that BUDS/BUDS2 utilized.

Need some tips on replacing a Bad Brake piston gasket - any ideas?

You need to supply the model year for questions like this. 1. If this RT has the Brembo brakes (later model years) call your dealer and ask if part number 219800242 ($32.99) is correct. It's listed as a dust cover, but is a non-illustrated part in the online catalog. 2. Yes, try pushing very...

What are the required dimensions for a Spyder rear brake piston adjusting tool?

Yes. When that pad is worn that low, it can be hard to catch the first thread to continue screwing in the piston.

Oil Leak on 2023 RTL caused by oil filter cap O-ring...

A friend brought over his 2023 RTL to have me look for the source of his oil leak. He had noticed some oil drops on his garage floor. What with him riding the Spyder, and oil covering a lot of the engine and lower side of the bike, I knew it wouldn't be easy. I started by removing all of the...

    Anyone tried a/mkt Heated pads for a 2011 RT-S?

We added a heated pad to our 2021 F3L, and I know of at least two others that have done the same. Two of the three had them added by Seth Lamm while having other improvements made to their seats, and the other had it added by an automotive upholstery shop. All three riders love the heated seat...

Is the Alternator shaft squeal just a nuisance, or is it damaging anything?

For my two cents worth, I'm with Doug. Keep in mind that immediately after start, the alternator is probably at it's highest demanded load. The battery has been heavily discharged from starting, all systems powered through the load shed relay come alive, and "most" of us want to immediately...
