• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Went to Moto Untd Draper, UT bike night. Lots of bikes and a couple of Spyders even. The State Farm sales agent lady had a bright red Canyon which looked really cool. Can Am should do that as a factory color. Place was absolutely packed and somebody even won a Kawasaki Ninja 500 in the raffle...

Is the Ultimate seat narrower at the front?

I had a 2021 RT LTD and now have a 2026 Sea to Sky. The 2026 S2S seat is a vast improvement, but I cannot say that it is any different in dimensions across the front. The crown of the seat is higher as the padding is thicker, but I don't really notice any real difference in how the bike feels...

Engine Trouble - intermittently won't start! Any ideas on what to look for?

My Kawasakis used to do that. Upon starting, they would run at 1,000 rpm above idle to get oil into the top end quickly, then settled down to normal idle. It always alarmed me, but apparently it was quite normal by Kawasaki. I've no idea if the 998s do that, but you might want to research that...

I want Spyder/Ryker/Canyon dealerships to succeed

We were being chased by the rain. We set off from Torrey in bright sunshine and stopped for breakfast a few miles down the road. Then we came out and saw dark sky’s rapidity building from the south. Having hit torrential rain going from the Hogback to Escalante, we started high tailing it home...

Thinking of getting a Sena 60 S Evo - anyone have one yet? Like it? Any comments/feedback welcome?

Thanks for the info. I will try them out because our GT Air 2 and Neotec 2s have been great helmets, they are just aging out as we will have had them 5 years the end of this year. Living at high altitude with lots of UV I tend to stick to their recommended usage life limit, even though they look...

2012 Spyder Back in the race!

I suspect the Aprilia folks still know that motor. Derivatives of the 998 served them well until long after Can Am moved away from it. The real issue of course is the rest of the bike, as I think the 998 will run forever if serviced correctly. Being 67 and my wife 70, we both retired at the...

Thinking of getting a Sena 60 S Evo - anyone have one yet? Like it? Any comments/feedback welcome?

They don’t do repairs, at the price these things cost? That’s a bit rough. So far the SRL2 units in our Shoei helmets have survived torrential rain and about 5 years of use. I think the units that mount into your helmets seem a little more weather resistant. Next year, when our helmets expire...

Engine Trouble - intermittently won't start! Any ideas on what to look for?

That hose doesn’t look long for this world. If that hose looks like that, just for peace of mind, I’d check all the other hoses too. You can always take it down to AutoZone, NAPA, or O’Reilly’s and see if they have an EFI fuel filter rated to 60 psi with the correct pipe sizes. I’m sure the...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I let my wife deal with the plants as she’s the one who turned our house into a fair imitation of a forest/jungle. Every time I turn around, another free space seems to have a plant in it. There also seems to be a complex watering schedule that I’d never be able to follow. My office/workshop...

Does a 1 piece Ultimate Seat effect the passenger air ride switch when riding 2-up? How do I stop it triggering for solo riding?

Does the switch actually affect the ride height, I thought the ride height sensor did that. I just thought it affected issues related to the stability control etc?

I want Spyder/Ryker/Canyon dealerships to succeed

As Can Am doesn’t seem to have incentive finance, I just asked for a pro forma invoice and got a counter check from my bank and payed them that way. No arguing or debate. I did buy inner luggage bags from them but did that as a separate transaction. Yess $170 ph is the going rate for automotive...

I want Spyder/Ryker/Canyon dealerships to succeed

We came home from Escalante the other day, via Torrey, Loa, Salina, Gunnison, Manti, Ephraim, Moroni, Nephi, to Draper. I know you are unfortunately far from a dealer, mine is three miles away, but what must make up for that is the beautiful valley and town you live in. That's a beautiful part...

    Suggestion for new members.

Yes, that's what I was thinking. I think it would be cool, but only if it's easy to do. I don't underestimate for a second all the work you guys put into offering this brilliant forum as it is, without me throwing random suggestions into the mix, lol. Thanks again.
