• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any Modification recommendations from those who tour on their Spyders?

    Goodbye

my only complaint is scrolling through 2 pages of new members when you are accessing the forum on a phone. I moderate a forum on Facebook. We acknowledge new members once a week, and let them know who the mods are, all in the same post. Much nicer. But since I am just a user I will take what...

Any Modification recommendations from those who tour on their Spyders?

Several insurance policies cover towing. I hit a pothole in a construction area North of Phoenix. This was on the freeway, so I was going plenty fast. Blew out the sidewall of the tire. Called my dealer and they called a towing company they use. The towing company loaded it up and dropped me at...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I had my Annual Wellness Check-up this morning too. This is what they do for old people as a physical is kind of a waste of time. LOL. They just want to know if you are depressed and on the verge of suicide or some silly notion like that.

Does a 1 piece Ultimate Seat effect the passenger air ride switch when riding 2-up? How do I stop it triggering for solo riding?

just put a lid from a spray paint can over the switch and it will never activate.

Thinking of switching to a Spyder, any others jumped from their Harley's to Spyders? Any advice welcome...

Rode a ton of Harleys over the years. As I got older and less stable, I bought a 2016 HD TriGlide. Rode it for 4 years, and while it was better than nothing, it didn't hold a candle to a Spyder. I currently ride a 2018 F3 Limited. Great ride, better handling, and much more power.

Anyone got this/figured out the Steering Assembly Play? Is this normal, or is there a fix?

One of the things that will cause this is pushing on the bars to move the Spyder around. I have a back seat armrest on mine, andthey work great for pushing.

I need to find an alternative to the dealership for routine maintenance

Some jobs, like oil changes, are easy enough to do yourself. It ends up costing me less than $60 and about 45 minutes of labor.

    Arkansas trip

We ended up riding some of the same roads. Push Mountain was one of the favorites (except for all the deer).

Thoughts on my first SS1000 with the Spyder

I figure I am good for a little over 200 (both gas wise and butt wise). That still leaves me with over a gallon to find the next gas station. But having said that, I still plan all my trips around my gas stops. This is especially true when you are running the freeways at 80mph (and the wind can...

    Arkansas trip

Just got home yesterday from a 10 day, 3300 mile, trip to Mountain View Arkansas. Got a little rain and hail (very little) on the way out and a just a little more on the way back home. Both times around Amarillo. Riding was great. We had one day of misty weather, while we were there, but we...
