• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Left Hand Module Replacement on F3 - anyone DIY?

I replaced it on my 2018 F3T and did not have to de-pin the connector. When I disconnected the old one from the spyder computer I tied a string on it and pulled it out. Hooked the new wiring to the string and pulled it back to the connection. The only tight place is in the bracket holding the...

2016 RT rear brake caliper piston wouldn't screw in - anyone else has run into this?

OK thanks for the reply. I was just making sure it is a screw in. When I used the C-clamp I put the C-clamp screw end against the piston face, and as I turned the C-clamp the piston also turned and did go in. So, I guess with the help of the C-clamp, I was able to get the threads to reengage.

2016 RT rear brake caliper piston wouldn't screw in - anyone else has run into this?

Put brakes on a friend's 2016 Spyder RT yesterday. Could not get the piston to screw in. Finally put a C-clamp on it and it pushed in. I thought all Spyders from 2013 on had the screw in pistons. The piston did have the 2 holes in the face for the tool. Just wondering if anyone else has run...

Should there be a Warranty transfer cost?

Just purchased a 2023 Spyder RT Limited from a dealer. He says it has 7 months of warranty left on it. He says it will cost me $200.00 to get it transferred to me?!? Is this right? I'm not paying $200.00 for 7 months of warranty that I think should be still covered on the bike anyway.

Another Oil Thread (sorry!) - Has anyone tried using Mobil 1 10W40?

I have been using Mobil 1 10w40 in all my bikes for years. Goldwing's, Harley and my last three Spyders. About 500,000 miles total riding and never a problem. I change every 5,000 miles on all my Velciches.
