• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2025 F3 - any other way to get software updates? Do I need to go to a dealer?

Last week I wanted to see which version of the software I had on my 2025 Canyon. It had been at the dealer several weeks ago and my invoice said that software had been updated. When I tried to connect to my home wifi it asked for the password which I provided and it rejected. I tried several...

Thoughts on ever-changing vehicle needs and wants

My Colorado was stone axe reliable until it wasn't. Mine was three different de-rates over the 18 months; two replaced DEF injectors and a replaced DPF fuel injector. In all three cases, the check engine light and de-rate occurred in my driveway, but right after returning from 1,200 mile road...

Anybody replaced the rear tire on their Canyon yet? If so, with what?

Hey Sarah, the Vredestein has been great so far in the 2,000 miles it has been on. It has been dry here in East Texas so I have not been able to evaluate hydroplaning resistance yet but winter is coming so we will have rain. I keep rear PSI at 18 lbs and dry grip has been great and it is...

Thoughts on ever-changing vehicle needs and wants

Pete, I did the same thing you did and at about the same time. My 2016 Colorado diesel (same engine as the GMC Canyon) with 65,000 miles had become unreliable due to the EPA mandated post treatment DPF and catalyst reductive DEF systems. I had spent over $3,000 in repairs over the last year and...

What Did You Do To/With Your Canyon Today?

Just got my Canyon back from the dealer. It was in for touchcreen/ACP misbehavior and belt alignment tight against the rear hub. Software was updated and belt was adjusted. They also checked battery condition and listened for alternator squeal. Total cost $0.

Do you have a vegetable garden &/or grow any Fruit trees? What time & effort do you put into it, and what do you grow?

We have two 3x5' raised beds (14" tall) with galvanized sheet metal frames. During the summer we raise banana peppers in one and bells and jalapenos in the other. In the winter we raise collard greens and herbs.

What did you do to/with your Spyder today?

Rode my Canyon to Aldi for the weekly groceries; it held them all no problem. We stopped for gas on the way home.

Rode to the liquor store and back.

Anyone else despise the Kill Switch/Cruise Control location?

I did the same thing with my Canyon (once). In my defense, I was experimenting with cruise on a new model when I had never had cruise on a motorcycle before. I think repositioning my hand to get my thumb on the button is what hit the kill switch.

Are Spyders becoming popular, or not?

What I know is that it is difficult to get on or off my Canyon in a parking lot without somebody walking over and asking about it.

    RIP Dolly Parton

The performer Jellyrool said it best. "She was probably the last person in America that everybody liked."

Spyder just quit running while riding... Is this an isolated incident?

On my first long interstate trip on the Canyon I had a similar experience. I was cruising at 75 and was trying to learn the cruise control when the engine quit and the dash lights came on. I also coasted toward the shoulder, noticed that I had hit the kill switch, moved the switch back to on...

Rear tire options - any suggestions?

I replaced the stock rear Kenda tire on my Canyon with a Vredestien Quadtrac 5 at about 8,500 miles. I was hoping for greater hydroplaning resistance. It has worked great; we haven't had a drop of rain since. However, the new tire has performed very well on dry pavement. I have the pressure set...

Canyon Front Tires Rubbing the Fenders

Ok, Sarah this may sound odd but I had the VSS update done on my Canyon and after that the self-canceling turn signals were no longer reliable. Sometimes after a turn the signals keep flashing other times they cancel fine. The reliability seems related to the force of the turn. Easy turn no...
