• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. My New 2025 Sea-to-Sky - any suggestions on what gear or upgrades to get first?

For GPS/CB/phone mount, I went with: https://www.slingmods.com/canam-spy...cking-station-with-usb-charge-ports?vehicle=1 and it has been good for me.
I have the same docking station/mount on my 2024 Spyder RT Sea2Sky, which I added before CAN-AM got Apple CarPlay to work correctly.
I used it with a Garmin Zumo XT GPS, which I still have, and still carry with me on long trips. Prior to the BRP Connect 4.1 software update, I had a couple of times that CarPlay quit working while I was riding along, so I still carry the Garmin in case CarPlay stops again while on a trip somewhere I'm not familiar with.

Why waste your money on what someone else thinks is necessary? My 2022 S2S has been ridden in stock form to all 48 contiguous States. It leads other riders on the Tail of the Dragon monthly rides.

Ride it in stock form until some shiny bling screams, "Buy Me." Enjoy having the extra money in your wallet. Nothing is more expensive than an unneeded accessory.
I absolutely agree

As stated several times, ride it for a while and get used to the bike. The 2020+ models are built such that you do not need all the after market suspension stuff. Evaluate how you and the bike handle together before listening to what other riders think. Some owners buy stuff because of what they read or hear before they get to really ride the bike enough to know if they actually need it!

As others have suggested, ride it a while. Needs will suggest themselves. One need that may suggest its self rather quickly is a seat change. Rather than going to a custom seat, think about a motorcycledave.com seat pad that goes in your seat and not on it. I was able to install mine in about 2 to 3 hours. I did have to buy a power stapler, but it was fairly cheap. For the money spent, it has been one of the best changes I've made. Since the forum platform change and no ads, nobody talks about Dave any more, but his seat cushion changed my Spyder from a 2 hr ride machine to an all day ride machine!

Stock means as delivered from factory.
Wow! You must have a ton of miles on your bone stock 2022 RT S2S. Refreshing to see someone putting that many miles on a Spyder with stock Kenda's, OEM suspension, seat, and handlebars. Nice!!

The newer Spyders from the factory are better set up than pre 2020 Spyders. Many perceived problems with those bikes are more from inexperienced riders who do not ride much. If I had a chance to do it over I would have gone from my Harley to an F3-L instead of going to a RT-L, because of the difference on how one sits on a RT-L and in the F3-L. Gives a different perspective or first impression.

Many good comments about waiting for 1K miles, but to me, my needs became quickly obvious. Backrest, simply makes long rides more comfortable. If you feel the bike is "darty" or leans too much, there is a reason the Baja Ron Sway Bar is often mentioned, it makes a world of difference. I hated mine without it, and I had a 2018 RTL, so I know the nuances of Spyder Riding. I put the SlingMods lower front light (mentioned earlier) on because I caught it on sale, and you can't argue with visibility for a cheap price. I put a Carpuride screen on mine because I use Android Auto; if you can catch them on sale they're fairly cheap and work well, but mounts cost nearly as much as the device. If you travel a lot, bags are nice and really help. One not mentioned: I came from riding motorcycles since I was 14 years old, and I missed a handbrake. I added the ISCI handbrake, and while VERY expensive and requiring much more pull than a normal handbrake, I find it really helpful and easy to grab. Not a necessity though, unless you have some hip/knee issue that makes you nervous with just the foot brake.

Of all, I put the sway bar on with less than 150 miles, it was a huge improvement!

Just picked up a 2025 Can-Am Spyder RT Sea-to-Sky, and I’m pumped to hit the road with it. I’m coming off a 2018 Harley Ultra Limited, so this is my first time on three wheels. Definitely a different feel, but I’m digging it so far.
I’m planning to do some longer trips—around 300 miles a day—so I’m looking for suggestions on what gear or upgrades I should get first. Mainly interested in stuff that’ll help with:
• Comfort on long rides
• Storage and keeping things organized
• Visibility/safety
• Convenience (charging ports, phone mounts, etc.)
Also wondering…
Is it worth upgrading the sway bar?
I’ve heard people talk about the BajaRon sway bar making a big difference in handling. Is that something I should do right away, or is the stock setup fine for now? I’ll be doing a mix of highway and some twisty roads.
Any tips or must-haves from experienced Spyder riders would be awesome. Appreciate any advice—trying to get this thing dialed in for some serious miles!
I added the Can-Am Trailer and it changed what long trips mean to us...you cannot notice it behind you and figuring out what to pack is never a concern .. just fantastic.
