• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2016 RTL side case - front latch will not latch. Anybody else? Any fixes?

Rt. side case latch, the catch on the front will not "latch" so just the rear latch is holding, but not well. I can
flip the rear latch closed with a screwdriver and release with the handle. The front latch rotates but
will not "catch" and stay latched. This is more than a cable adjustment, right? I'm guessing the front side
latch is discombobulated... Anybody else seen this and dealt with it?

Also... where is the sensor for the "rear case open" light? I don't see a micro switch...
Thanx for any input - Mike

Pictures would make it easier to understand what is happening. You should look to see if the side case has shifted, maybe one of the hinges is loose or moved, maybe the latch itself has loosened or worn out. It could be a number of things that can cause a misalignment.

The catch should grab the post and hold, BUT it does not "latch" to hold. The hinges are tight.

After an evening of googling, searching forums, and YouTube, I think I've got an answer...
The front "Latch" does not lock. It just wraps around and holds the post on the lid. I tested this on the other side and it proved that. Now I'm thinking that all I really need is a cable adjustment. I'm feeling Lucky about this!

It is commonly a mis-adjustment of the cable that connects the handle to the locking mechanism. It has a lock nut and threaded adjuster. You can reach underneath and adjust it without tupperware removal. I did it by laying on my back and reach up. However, it is easier by removing some of the tupperware, but that in and of itself is a PITA.
