• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

NHTSA Campaign 26V575000 - 2025-2026 Spyder RT, F3, & Canyon freezing cluster fix issued

I wasn't sure, but just hopeful. The first day I had my 2026 S2S I updated from V 4.1.0 to V 5.1.0 so I didn't get to try anything on the V 4.1.0 release. I just thought I'd do any outstanding updates before I tried configuring anything. I would also advise you buy one of these USB devices...

Alternator Shaft Squeal - not a Recall, not a Warranty Campaign, just a TST!

I suspect they'll use that tool as a hammer anyway... Sorry, I couldn't help it. You have my sympathy - after it took them over six months to fix the air suspension on my then brand new 2021 RT LTD. For me they said COVID stopped them getting compressors from China, which then eventually...

Looking for new Comms - what do you use?

My wife and I about 5 years ago started using a Shoei GT Air II and a Shoei Neotec II. We fitted the Sena SRL2 comms systems which were the standard fitment for those helmets. Our experience has been mixed though things have improved over subsequent firmware releases. I'd say they work pretty...

Are the OEM XPS front tires really directional, on '25 S2S?

No, no. Please speak out. I'd rather go look and find out I was fine rather than have a tire unravel on me. Thanks for all the information you take the time to hand out. I'd rather have false positives than false negatives. Or is that the other way around. Well, whatever, many thanks again.

Are the OEM XPS front tires really directional, on '25 S2S?

That's what mine looks like. The asymmetry bugs the living daylights out of me.:(

Are the OEM XPS front tires really directional, on '25 S2S?

Front left looks like this. My front Right looks the opposite way around. So does this mean my front left tire was mounted the wrong way around from the factory? Front LEFT: Front RIGHT: Sorry the images are crap, but I think you can see enough to tell. I didn't take the wheels off to...

Are the OEM XPS front tires really directional, on '25 S2S?

I don't see anything text wise that states direction of rotation on the outside of my front tires. I can't see the insides as the fenders cover most of the tire and I'm too old to take the wheels off. They look the same as your pictures. Usually tires sate "Direction of Rotation-->" or "<--...

Are the OEM XPS front tires really directional, on '25 S2S?

From my experience with a set of one of the XPS branded Kendas I think they are marked improvement over the original Kenda OEM fitment. However, they may well be still smelling a bit like the manure applied to the roses, I'm not sure. I'm reasonably happy with the set I have, but you...

NHTSA Campaign 26V575000 - 2025-2026 Spyder RT, F3, & Canyon freezing cluster fix issued

Perhaps like you say, BRP are staging the update availability? If the bugs driving the recall weren't in V 4.1.0 then perhaps they are doing the V 5.1.0 updates first as that is where the liability lies? If you go on to the Can Am website there is a form to fill in to ask BRP questions. I have...

Are the OEM XPS front tires really directional, on '25 S2S?

If they are marked inside and outside then they are likely just asymmetric and have to be mounted on the rim correctly, but they wont likely be directional in the conventional sense. If they have arrows on them, they are directional.

Do you get wet riding in the rain?

When I lived in the UK a Rukka Barry Sheene endorsed over suit was the most cost effective and superior choice for every serious year round rider. I thought the other day, oh yes, Rukka, I remember them and looked to see if they still made gear. Then I saw the price. I'm sure it's worth the...

    Conventional vs Reverse Trike Discussion

Then there were those weird bikes like my old Moto Guzzis, whereby the front lever operated one front disk while the brake pedal operated the other front brake disk and the rear. Some BMWs I owned had the front lever apply both front and rear brakes balanced by the ABS system, while the rear...

I've gone from ATGATT to H (just Helmet).

I think the difference in injury accident likelihoods between motorcycles and Spyders is not really relevant. In both cases you don't have a protective crumple zone cage around you, with seatbelts and airbag systems. I suspect that severe accident consequences are closer together in likelihood...

    Conventional vs Reverse Trike Discussion

I really love all the Spyders I've owned despite any faults or peculiarities they may have/had. I also have a genuine soft spot for most of the bikes and vehicles I have owned in the past it is true. However, some of my past ownership experience has been for truly hateful things and I don't...

That's all fine until it's winter and that's ice water. :(

What did you do to/with your Spyder today?

I've been to Tuscon a couple of times. I thought it was hot in Utah. Central and Southern Arizona is just on a completely different level.

NHTSA Campaign 26V575000 - 2025-2026 Spyder RT, F3, & Canyon freezing cluster fix issued

Have you tried resetting the display to factory settings. It might be because there is some configurable it doesn't like that stops it searching correctly for the updates. I'd do a reset to factory settings, then just try connecting again via your phone hotspot. I cannot think of much else...

After Information/feedback on the Freedom Windshield for 2020+ Spyder RT's - will it reduce pillion wind buffetting?

We went out for a ride today and I took more notice than usual about where I put the standard S2S screen. Basically I set it so that I just look over it. It's below my sight line. I look through the top half of my glasses anyway as they are bifocals. This means when I look down I'm using my...

After Information/feedback on the Freedom Windshield for 2020+ Spyder RT's - will it reduce pillion wind buffetting?

I don't know if any of these aftermarket screen vendors test their screens on a Spyder in a wind tunnel with various sized riders and passengers, but I seriously doubt it. I doubt Can Am does it with a stock shield also, since Bombardier was a separate company at any rate. I'm sure that perhaps...

Finally gonna finish my 48 State tour!

It's amazing, even after retiring, how difficult it is to find the time to do long road trips. There's always something on the calendar. We seemed to have more time when the wife and I were working. We've planned out a long road trip for next year and have blanked out time on the calendar for...
