• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Random thought for the day

I was a Ginger fan, loved those long legs, but Dawn Wells sure did hold up much better with age than Tina Louise. ;)

Rear tire options - any suggestions?

My speedo reads spot on with the original Kenda. I have a new Kumho Ecsta in 225/50-15 to swap on sometime this winter. It's actually a bit wider than the Kenda, and I used those same tires in the same size on my old Miata with great results. Unfortunately, they seem to have discontinued that...

Can anybody help identifying this part?

That looks a little like the air deflector from the lower front lip of a full face helmet. 🤔

Rear tire options - any suggestions?

Doesn't look like that tire is available in the correct size, 225/50R15.

Clutch Problems F3T SM6 - creeping when lever pulled in! No Locktite on nut securing clutch basket!!

If there's much bluing I'd replace the steels. Enough heat to change the color can also change the heat treatment and affect wear rates. I haven't noticed my clutch dragging appreciably, but it will if I shorten the clutch pull at the lever. I'll definitely have to disassemble mine and check...

Lifting the rear of RT swing arms with a modified HF MC lift - Wanted to share and get feedback.

If it's wide enough, you could pass a rod through the hollow axle and use the lift under that.

2015 RT with an Oil leak - anyone know the torque on the oil pressure sensor housing screw?

You can get a UV dye to add to the oil. It fluoresces under a UV flashlight, and makes it easy to spot the source of an oil leak. Still helpful to clean it up first.

Lifting the rear of RT swing arms with a modified HF MC lift - Wanted to share and get feedback.

That could work. I don't know the overall weight of the RT. My F3S is around 900#, with less than half of that on the rear. Not sure how long the axle is though. If it fits, it would probably work, but you probably need some ass to lift it with that. ;) 🤣

2015 RT - What Anti freeze besides BRP's brand is safe to use?

I've become tired of having to stock so many different types of coolants. Last year I decided to find a coolant that would work in all of my vehicles that are equipped with aluminum radiators. I settled on Peak Final Charge PRO Series. It's a P-OAT coolant that protects all cooling system...

Lifting the rear of RT swing arms with a modified HF MC lift - Wanted to share and get feedback.

I really don't see any practicality here. For checking tire pressure, I just roll it forward or back until I can reach the valve stem. To lift the front, I put a low profile trolley jack under the center spine at the front end. A couple of jack stands under the cross member or control arms makes...

Getting Your Money's Worth from a Tire!

Some do, but when I worked in Nuclear power, we wouldn't even load a trailer if the rig had a retread, or an old or worn tire, or anything else that didn't pass an inspection. We wouldn't risk our inspection equipment, or the chance of a radioactive shipment having an accident. I've had two...

Going Down Memory Lane; Show Us Your First Motorbikes & Your Current Spyder

My first street bike was a 1976 Honda CB-360T. A friend had a CB-350, and I had him by about 3 mph on top end. He could hit about 105mph and I could get almost 110. I can't believe we used to ride those ancient things that fast. 🤣

Can BUDS (or anything) change the Throttle effort on a Spyder?

Contact Fuel Moto. They offer free custom tuning with purchase, and lifetime updates. For some reason, they only show the PV3 for the Spyder on their site, but give them a call or email and they'll set you up. Their customer service is second to none...
