• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I built support blocks to raise the Spyder for oil changes etc.

I tried that. Once. Never again! That rear ramp just doesn't want to cooperate.

What's the Best Way to jack/stand & Remove All Three Wheels at once?

I know you're right Peter. I should have mastered welding instead of accounting.

Can anyone with a Big Blue Lift provide advice on my lifting issues?

I will say the equipment is nicely designed and well made, but the instructions that come with it are about as clear as mud. I can't believe my fellow Brits are so bad at explaining things. Sure, some of the issue is British idioms that don't translate well, but ... Anyway, actual user input is...

What's the Best Way to jack/stand & Remove All Three Wheels at once?

Believe it or not, those blue stands on the right seem to be a strictly Australian invention/product. Too bad.

What's the Best Way to jack/stand & Remove All Three Wheels at once?

Peter, that's a fantastic explanation (no surprise there), and I've figured out what a trolley jack is But, I haven't yet found anything like your single post axle stand.

What's the Best Way to jack/stand & Remove All Three Wheels at once?

Peter, quick question; how do you get the front end up high enough in the first place to be able to put jack stands under the A-arms? When I use ramps to get the front end up, then the ramps are in the way. I know I've been able to do this before, but don't remember how. I think this is one of...

Now the Pitbull lift has been discontinued, is there an alternative?

Yeah, now, ya see, that block of wood is just too low tech for me. Maybe someone makes a titanium one... That's an impressive bit of kit! I like the idea of the rail, but how do you obtain enough clearance to get it under the bike?

I built support blocks to raise the Spyder for oil changes etc.

The cheap dark side is where I started, Mikey, but then I couldn't leave well enough alone and started getting fancy. Now I'm back to simple! Sort of, anyway. I can't help tinkering.

Now the Pitbull lift has been discontinued, is there an alternative?

I've had my bike since new in 2015. When I first started working on my bike, I learned from here on SL to do just what you describe. I evolved to riding it up backwards on the two ramps so that the ramps didn't interfere with access to the body panels. Then, jack up the rear with a floor jack...

I built support blocks to raise the Spyder for oil changes etc.

I like the way the tire nestles into the gap between the two top 2x4 pieces.

FS: Original RT 622 Trailer, Blue in color

Is it listed elsewhere also? When we sold our Cognac 2014 I also listed it on Craig's list and that's what snagged a buyer out of Texas.

Now the Pitbull lift has been discontinued, is there an alternative?

I ended up trying an aluminum lift from Harbor Freight I had laying around in the corner ignored for all these years and it seems perfect. Slips right under the Spyder without contacting any dangling bits and with enough clearance to make maneuvering it around much easier. I wish it wasn't so...

Yes, I noticed that, thanks. Now I know what it is and to stay clear of it.

What can I do to get a straight shot at the Rear Tire valve Stem?

I like this idea. Ps: I'm attaching photo of valve at 6 o'clock as an experiment to see if I understand Peter A's instructions on how to do that. It's also a pretty good image of what the valve stem looks like straight on, which as plenty of people have noted is easy enough to access with a...

What can I do to get a straight shot at the Rear Tire valve Stem?

I'm leaning in this direction. I like what I see about the Jaco stuff, particularly the Lightning chuck line with its click-on/click-off feature. I can see how. @Snoking1127, How do you connect the Ryobi pump to the inlet of the JACO inflator/gauge? I like this solution a lot, particularly...

Now the Pitbull lift has been discontinued, is there an alternative?

With respect to ground clearance on my 2014 RTL, Google says; The official ground clearance for a 2014 Can-Am Spyder RT-Limited (RTL) is 4.5 inches (115 mm), though some owner documentation lists it closer to 4.3 inches (110 mm) My most recent measurement where a floor lift arm would go...

Now the Pitbull lift has been discontinued, is there an alternative?

I agree. I was trying to find the same lift under a different brand. Maybe it was the J&S lift rebranded, and that's why the Pitbull is no longer available since J&S went out of business? Inquiring minds want to know!

Now the Pitbull lift has been discontinued, is there an alternative?

The VEVOR and VevoHome model are comparable with each other design and pricewise ($130-160), seem a step up in quality to my old Harbor Freight model, but both have a minimum height of 4.5". They differ in platform size; VIVOHOME is 14" W x 12.5" L. VEVO is 12" W x 12.2" L HARBOR Freight...
