• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ok, here we go... let's meet and eat in Kentucky!

I have a squirrel cooking sous vide and usually cook em for 48 hours. I'm going to stop it at 24 hours today and see if I can tell the difference. 48 hours may just be overkill.... I'll see if Betty's Country Cooking - Columbia Ky is still a thing...

What did you do to/with your Spyder today?

My wife's a tad short legged and the passenger floorboards are moved as high as can be, but she wants to be able to stretch every now and then, change foot/leg positions... she mentioned she used to be able to do just that on the Goldwing. I spent a little time mocking up a footpeg we had from...

Lifting the rear of RT swing arms with a modified HF MC lift - Wanted to share and get feedback.

When I went outside and looked at the rear swing arm with all the brake stuff and muffler, I scrapped this idea for mine in reference to the one I posted about. I'd say the one he's got is fine as it just contacts from the bottom with no vertical pieces pointing up....

Lifting the rear of RT swing arms with a modified HF MC lift - Wanted to share and get feedback.

I wonder how much weight is on the rear? Something like this may work... cheap too... Lift for Swingarm

Lifting the rear of RT swing arms with a modified HF MC lift - Wanted to share and get feedback.

I'm safely lifting the Spyder with the adapter I built... It has protrusions to keep it centered on the bike, and floorboard arms for side to side balancing.

Lifting the rear of RT swing arms with a modified HF MC lift - Wanted to share and get feedback.

I noticed that the first time looking at it and wondered why they did that, probably a little easier for balancing.

Lifting the rear of RT swing arms with a modified HF MC lift - Wanted to share and get feedback.

When you have the rear wheel off the ground your rear jacking point is accessible for a jack stand! That rear shock mount you mentioned to lift by is many times mentioned in the manual to NOT use as a lifting point. Good going!!

Now the Pitbull lift has been discontinued, is there an alternative?

I back the front wheels onto the ramps so the ramp portion is not blocking the use of the Pitbull. Use a floor jack to raise the rear off the ground and cribbage it.. then roll the Pitbull under and mate it up! I do this to ensure the weight of picking up the trike is distributed along the...

Now the Pitbull lift has been discontinued, is there an alternative?

With all that said... if I was starting over, as it seems like you are Pete, I would do it different now. Let me explain... I've been thinking all along in 2 wheel mode, and it shows... I should have changed over to thinking about the Spyder being a 3 wheeled bike earlier. If I was to start...

Now the Pitbull lift has been discontinued, is there an alternative?

I believe it's a very well built jack and worth seeking.... I made an adapter that fits the rail that runs 3 foot under the bike and has the weight centered properly on the lift. Here's a pic of the bike raised up safely on cribbage. I feel very comfortable now raising the bike up to work on it.

What can I do to get a straight shot at the Rear Tire valve Stem?

I use a hand pump and it would work great for something like that, got it back in the Harley days, used to adjust the shocks on our Bushtec trailer suspension. It has a check valve at the end of the hose... I'll see if I can grab a pic for ya... Actually, a screw on air fitting.
