• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any advice on adjusting toe on the front wheels? Is the job doable without BUDS?

I suspect somebody who really knows what they are doing could align everything without a laser system, but that would be somebody very experienced in what they are doing and has had years of practice. I suspect the laser system is far more accurate for the vast majority of techs. Getting the...

Any Modification recommendations from those who tour on their Spyders?

That's where the Alphacool comes into play. The more I can airflow over that the better I feel. There is also the effect of air flow wicking away sweat to cool by evaporation, but you are right, at a certain temperature airflow alone is not sufficient.

Blackstone Results for Amsoil 5W40 Metric Oil in my 2022 RT S2S

Perhaps the last paragraph suggests that the oil is sheered significantly by the transmission for which both bikes have a very similar design. I would have expected other readings in the oil analysis to vary though as the 998 twin revs consistently higher than the 1330 triple. I don't know if...

Anyone going back and forth from their Spyder to a motorcycle?

I think I go by feel. If I'm on the trike, if I'm not in the center of the lane the steering doesn't feel as natural as if I'm riding with the front wheels out of position 1 and 3. It took a while to be able to switch between the two and just as I mastered it, I sold the last of my two wheel...

Any Modification recommendations from those who tour on their Spyders?

Fortunately, where I am out West, I don't have to deal with rain very often in the summer. I've got the rain gear down to an art. I have a thin waterproof jacket and pants I bought from BMW many years ago, and I can get the jacket on and off in a couple of minutes. The rain pants I just leave on...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I just went through all my USB cables that have a USB-C connector at one end. I didn't find any of mine that were reversible on the USB-C end that caused them to stop being data cables. From the specification data cables should be reversible without issue. I did find some that looked like data...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I bought the following to label my USB cables and to determine which are orientation dependent (which they shouldn't really be). I got it on Amazon: Treedix USB Cable Tester Board USB Cable Checker Data Wire with Acrylic Case Charging Test Data Line Type-C Micro Type A Type B Hope that helps.

Using an iPhone with BRP-Go Navigation - Review

Yes. That's how I do it. I don't couple anything to the bike except I installed a USB charging, with no data, cable from the Spyder to the phone mount so my iPhone keeps a charge. From Amazon I bought these: [4-Piece] Cozy USB Caps for USB C Cable - Tether/Cap Provides Dust and Oxidation...

Can I get GPS on my 2024 S2S 10.25" screen; or GPS Software/Hardware, Apples to Oranges, or maybe not...

I actually think they meant 6 feet as something was lost in the translation from a metric two meters. I run a decent quality three foot, or one meter cable and that is working fine. Yes, the whole BRP CarPlay and BRP Go! situation needs a total rethink. The physical capabilities are obviously...

Using an iPhone with BRP-Go Navigation - Review

Yes, I prepare my itinerary on Apple Maps on my MacBook or iMac and the just share it to my iPhone so I don’t need a .GPX file, although it may use that behind the scenes. I’ve also done it with Google Maps on a web browser so my iPhone Google Maps app picks it up. I’ve abandoned CarPlay as...

Using an iPhone with BRP-Go Navigation - Review

Yes, dreadful isn't it. The CarPlay app has enough constraints on having to use a cable and Bluetooth for both the phone and the helmet. I just use Apple or Google Maps on my phone and don't I link it to the display. I imagine Android users can do just the same with Google Maps. Mind boggling...

Can I get GPS on my 2024 S2S 10.25" screen; or GPS Software/Hardware, Apples to Oranges, or maybe not...

I think I got the hang of Apple and Google Maps both, so I use them on my iPhone. I just glance at the phone to try to understand approximately where I'm going and follow directions by the voice description. My Sena SRL2 comm system does a good job of muting voice to allow directions to be...

Spyder 10.25" Display Models, Firmware V 5.1.0, Android and iPhone BRP Go! Connection for Maps

Yes this appears to be just the BRP Go! maps app in a more simplified form. You don’t get the whole BRP Go! functionality of the prior to 2024 display systems.

Spyder 10.25" Display Models, Firmware V 5.1.0, Android and iPhone BRP Go! Connection for Maps

You’ll have to check for it when you are connected with WiFi. I use my home WiFi but a WiFi hotspot on your phone might work allowing it to effectively download over a cellular connection.

Your Weather News @ May 2026 Edition

It actually rained here in Utah on Friday, overnight. Back up into the 80s here in the Salt Lake Valley, breaking the 90s by Saturday. No more rain in sight to fill the the Great Salt (Puddle) Lake. Not a good snow year either. It’s going to be bad with lots of toxic sludge from the lake...

Can I get GPS on my 2024 S2S 10.25" screen; or GPS Software/Hardware, Apples to Oranges, or maybe not...

Yes, I kept my Spyder on its battery maintainer whilst I do anything like upgrade the firmware as I’m paranoid I’m going to brick the thing. I’m going to start playing with it tomorrow, just to annoy myself. I know it’s limitations are going to be frustrating which is why I just use Apple or...

Spyder 10.25" Display Models, Firmware V 5.1.0, Android and iPhone BRP Go! Connection for Maps

Yes, I found the user interface actually on the bike was better than the app on the phone as it included use of the buttons on the left cluster for certain actions. I’m going to look into it more, it might be because I don’t have enough patience to figure out how it works exactly. I’ll play...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I did my Spyder firmware update to V 5.1.0. I use an iPhone but the Android folks might appreciate that BRP Go! maps now work, or not happy depending upon your views about BRP Go! maps. I stared at my Spyder after my southern Utah trip and thought I should give it a good bath. Then I realized...

Spyder 10.25" Display Models, Firmware V 5.1.0, Android and iPhone BRP Go! Connection for Maps

I updated the firmware on my 2026 Sea to Sky today by using the Wi-Fi connection option and my home Wi-Fi. I think the update applies to all of our Spyders with the 10.25" color display at least, at least that is what is implied. The update was quick and easy, though beware, it says it has...

You will be pleased, or horrified depending upon your point of view, you can now use Android and BRP Go! on your Spyder with the 10.25" display. Connect your Spyder to your home Wi-Fi network and update to the latest V 5.1.0 firmware. (Be aware it often blanks the screen out whilst updating...
