• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Battery Bracket Questions (all models) Noco NLP20 related

HA HA, well I WAS happy with it. then I went to install it and decided I needed to make more changes. BRP is so stingy on the ground and positive wires. I also found the front where the OEM bracket mounts when installed at the back has a higher angle than I had expected which i needed to go...

2018 RTL Brakes feel 'spongy' - Is this normal?

that's a bummer. for the cost of having the dealer do it i would expect the ABS unit to be flushed. I am led to believe it has its own bleeder but requires the BUDS to active the ABS system to bleed. I did my own fluid last week, brake fluid was 7 years old with 1700 miles, (just bought...

Battery Bracket Questions (all models) Noco NLP20 related

Finished the top bracket tonight, very happy with it. Printes a 12mm baseplate to replace the OEM baseplate so I don't need the foam spacers I'll be getting this installed today. Just need to snag some extra brass screws for my tender connector. I'm happy with the final results for sure. I...

Battery Bracket Questions (all models) Noco NLP20 related

I'm kinda wondering if the hold down is the same on all models or at least this generation or if they vary from model to model I'm using the 12mm and 15mm stacked risers. I finished modeling a top interface that blocks the tangs on the bracket from being able to get anywhere near the terminals...

Battery Bracket Questions (all models) Noco NLP20 related

Hello Spyder folks, Had a question that I'm posting to all Spyder folks running a Noco NLP20. 1. Do all spyders run the same battery mounting bracket as a 2019 RTL? 2. How did you mount the battery? Any issues with lateral movement of the battery using the foam shims? 3. Do you find the...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Oh boy, lots stuff. Bled brakes a couple days ago, 1700 miles but 6-7 year old fluid. Washed the bike. Battery died, also 7 years old. Ordered new tires. Quatract 175/55r15 on the front, altimax rt45 215/60R15 on the rear. Called the dealer and got it scheduled for a sprocket recall...

    Welcome, propbuildervash

Hello! New Spyder owner...or perhaps its better to say my wife is the new owner and I am the newly designated maintenance tech and farkle installer. Snagged a 2019 RTL with 1700 miles for 15K for the wife, she likes to ride, she dislikes driving bikes, shes had two a scooter 160cc and a 250cc...

Is a replacement Lithium Battery the way to go? How have you installed yours?

Well, looks like I will have a chance to test this out for myself. my 7 year old battery is at the tipping point. (just bought the bike (2019) with 1700 miles and the battery gave a slow crank and start fail after sitting 3 days. it spent 16 hours on a tender and still hadnt reach the...

Is a replacement Lithium Battery the way to go? How have you installed yours?

Have you guys considered just 3D printing a spacer to fit the NOCO battery? I've had a lot of luck with using a 3D printer to make parts for my old Bushtec trailer and it's not terribly expensive. If someone has a bad/dead NLP20 NOCO battery I could use for measurements, I could likely design a...
