• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2024 will Crank, but just won't start! More later...

Had the same problem on my 2020 RTL back in September of '22. Tech at the dealer used WOT "wide open throttle" to get it started. Note: "not too long of starter bursts so as to burn out the starter!" Then have the dealer check for software upgrades, low compression when starting! That worked...

Vredestein tire sizes from their web site

Not if you put the same size on both sides of your spyder! "sorry, but could NOT resist on that one!":roflblack: Bill

2021 RTL going back for another warranty fix

Was that on your dime, or backed by BEST extended warranty? I've been babying & fighting my cable releases since day 1 that I bought it! I do have the BEST warranty until 7-20-2025. Bill

Any chart/pics to show where Oil change O rings need to go?

 So, if I am understanding, you use the same O-rings when changing oil, but you replace the oil plugs at each service? Y?

When To Replace Belt tensioner/Vibration Damper/Idler Pulley?

I have a 2020RTL, which is basically the same machine as yours. Mine came without a dampener and I have seen no reason to add one after over 45,000 miles. You might try wiring it up off the belt to see if you actually need one! Bill

Anyone else have Fuse Blowing for Parkers/Plate lights? Brake switch recall related?

"Just a Hunch" Pull your front wheels off and check that the wire harness under the front fenders hasn't been rubbing on the tire.

Checked the oil before starting the bike and the dipstick was dry

Start the bike up, go for 20 minute ride, check the oil right after you stop. The oil level will be JUST FINE!

White knuckle test ride - can I learn to like this? Buy newish or older/cheaper?

:congrats: Welcome to our world, find some noncongested county blacktop roads and enjoy the first few hundred miles. Get all the miles in you can before our unpredictable Minnesota style winter gets started. Life is Good, Bill

PedalBox and Pedal Commander - what do they do and how do they work?

My opinion of PB & PC Filing down the trigger on your pistol equals the PB & PC, making the reaction time quicker. It does not change the bullet or the caliber of the gun. When I was younger, quickness was my downfall. Now that I'm 73 years old, I like to take my time - I just try to get there...

1330 and Gas Mileage Review - What's yours? Anyone else tracking theirs?

Broderp, our 2020RTL is almost identical with yours in fuel mpg's and range. 41K miles with an average of 34.4 mpg riding 2-up 80% of the time. We don't baby it, but we don't beat it either. Very little interstate driving, speed limit usually, we try to run with the traffic flow. Bill

What is this strange noise?! Sunday Riding...

A strip of "Duct Tape" will take care of that noise. But the kidney punch is what has been killing me!

White knuckle test ride - can I learn to like this? Buy newish or older/cheaper?

Flying Boat, Definately the 2020+ RTL. More room and comfort for 2-up riding, you will not regret it! We have 41K miles on our 2020RTL riding 2-up 80% of the time in just over 4 years. The more we use it, the more we enjoy it. You will learn to guide it down the road, you DON'T steer it. It...

Any Yokohama rear tire users? Which?

Being a fellow Minnesota spyder owner I recommend the Vredestein over the Yokohama due to our cooler climate spring and fall. Florida or Texas maybe for the Yokohama. Personally I'm running the General, but that wasn't one of your options. Good Luck, Bill

Glad that you got the PC mounted!:2thumbs: Chores??:gaah: She's in NC man, get out on the road & check that new toy out!:ohyea: Get some sheep 4 the mowing, and some goats to take care of the plants!:shemademe_smilie: Time is of the essence, she will be back before you know it! MHO...
