• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Good explanation. So, we're not paying for the cost of the fuel we're buying, we are paying the anticipated cost of the fuel that will replace the fuel we're removing.

The cost for gasoline rose about 10% here in the last couple of days. Effects of the Iran situation, I'm sure. But. I'm trying to make sense about why the price rose so rapidly. After all, the gas I bought yesterday is from the same storage tank that sold the same gas for much less a couple...

I had a Yacht Club friend who named his boat "It's Always Something". Very appropriate. And..... It applies to home ownership, as well as life in general, too.

Daylight Saving Time Change done successfully, but the date is wrong & no way I can see to correct it?! Any ideas?

Reminds me..... The digital clock on the windowsill in one of my bathrooms automatically goes to DST even though we, here in Arizona, don't. And it does not have a DST delete feature. So, it will be off time for another 6 months. I just ignore it and probably should just toss it in the recycle...

83 degrees and headed for a high of 90 degrees today here in the desert. Currently humidity is 19%, breeze of 3 MPH, and no clouds in sight. After tomorrow, we should cool down each day until we get to more seasonably mid 70's temperatures by the end of the week. It seems like we never really...

Yesterday we got to 91 here in the desert. Today we should hit 92! Currently at 10:30 AM; 79 degrees, wind is calm, humidity is 25%, and there are some high stratus clouds scattered around. Last night I waited, and waited, and waited for the house to cool down before going to bed. I finally...

As I was getting ready to venture out into today's 90 degree+ heat, my random thought was that Arizona sweatshirts are way different from Northern sweatshirts. My sweatshirts are Greg Norman golf shirts. They are light, airy, and don't show sweat.....

Deanna, if I could, I would. Really. You bring another weather thought to my mind. Not including Hawaii, where would be the best year-round weather-related place to live? Seems like we all have our good and not so good characteristics. My vote is the San Diego, CA area. Other factors...

Dark days for me were when I could see the light at the end of the tunnel (retirement). Had a long and happy career but towards the end, (early 2000s), the industry changed a lot. Agreed! In my dark days of working, I managed a large bank branch that was 2 blocks away from the University of Washington campus. Way too many idiot stories to list. At the beginning of each semester, I had a topic about public safety in one of my staff meetings. Reminded my staff that...

Anyone use Deer whistles? Do you think they work?

Several years ago I left Flagstaff for an early morning ride to Phoenix. Honda Goldwing with deer whistles installed. There were 4 or 5 deer having breakfast 10 or 20 feet from the interstate. Not one deer even looked my way as I rode by. They all just kept grazing. Since then, I just kept...
