• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any suggestions on how to get the dipstick out for Checking the Oil on a Redrock?

It's good that you check it every thousand miles, Ma'am, even though the 1330 doesn't consume oil. A small pair of offset pliers should solve your issue. Mine is very tight also, and I prefer it that way. I know my wife would never be able to loosen mine.

Have you seen the Outrageous cost of Spyder accessories!?!

There's a natural price cycle for accessories. At first, they are senselessly expensive, but most folks put up with it and spend the money anyway. As time takes its toll on the product the accessory was made for, and it is no longer in production, the price drops. Then the product comes back...

Is the fuel gauge accurate on an F3?

Some of us, because of habit and experience, still go by the odometer and don't 100% trust that digital gauge. I showed 212 once, and I was sweat'n it.

    New old member

Definitely my kind of guy! Somebody needs to market a bracket for securing crutches to a spider. I met a fellow at a spyder rally years back who had a custom mount on his spyder that held his folding wheelchair.

Anyone else fitted one of these Handlebar Brake Conversions? Having problems setting it up, need help/advice.

It will work if properly installed. However, it won't be any better or faster than the OEM foot brake. For "precise evidence," I suggest you purchase one and install it to find out for yourself. Good luck, and let us know how it works out. Remember, there's a considerable difference between...

MPG dropped after a cat delete install - any ideas/suggestions?

When I removed the cat from my machine, I recall putting the baffle on the intake side of the delete pipe rather than the muffler side. Possibly that's why my MPGs never changed.

MPG dropped after a cat delete install - any ideas/suggestions?

Yes, there are so many variables that some of us don't even notice them. I'd for sure give it a few more tanks of fuel. Even gasing up at different stations is a variable. I live at 4,000 ft. elevation and sometimes fill up near home. The closest town is at 500 ft. elevation, and sometimes I...

Is the General Altimax RT45 a good Replacing rear tire for a 2017 Spyder RT Ltd?

Peter and Ron are two of the guys with the best information you can get anywhere regarding anything to do with your spyder. Go with what they tell you, and you'll be golden.

MPG dropped after a cat delete install - any ideas/suggestions?

Don't do anything. Just run several tanks of gas through it and let "it" decide what kind of MPGs it is going to give you. I run a cat delete with a custom muffler and stage II, and I get 40 MPG 1 or 2 up time after time. I gotta say that I ride conservatively 95% of the time. If I want to get...

Method for determining when to replace brakes - suggestions

You can't do it easily if you have bad knees or hips. A small flashlight and a dentist-type mirror will do the trick. Get down and check the thickness of your pads. If they're as thin or thinner than a credit card, it's time. If one side is thick and the other is thin, you'll need to address...

87 Octane seems to work just fine

I have Stage II and carry a small bottle of Boostane in my trunk. It takes 2.61 oz. to turn 6 gallons of 87 octane into 91 octane. $12.00 for a 4oz bottle. Boostane apparently has a shelf life of 2 years if unopened and stored properly. I'm guessing my trunk is almost properly.

Anyone replaced the entire Electric Windscreen mechanism on a 2023 RT?

There are some references on this site from years ago that may help. One was never to ride with your screen totally up or down.

Anyone else fitted one of these Handlebar Brake Conversions? Having problems setting it up, need help/advice.

That's exactly what my mechanic friend was explaining to me. The weight of the spyder (1K lbs) and its braking surfaces compared to those of an average vehicle, the spyder stops faster. Physics 101. The design of the hand brake is primarily for those who may have physical limitations with their...

Which of the following Highway Pegs do you recommend?

Custom make your own, or search for the stoutest mounts produced and then have them extended to match your needs. Just don't get them too close to your front fenders. A mounting attached along the full length of the underside of the floorboards (foot pads) should provide ample support. Like a...

Totally bonkers 'Miles to empty' on Can Am 2023 RTL - can it be fixed?

If all your gas cans are empty and you need gas to clean a greasy part or something, so you siphon a half gallon out of your Spyder because your car or truck has an anti-siphon feature, that's really going to play hell with your miles-to-empty computer on your 3-wheeled know-it-all Spyder. LOL...

Anyone else fitted one of these Handlebar Brake Conversions? Having problems setting it up, need help/advice.

I've also been contemplating the hand brake. So far, almost everyone who has one has had issues with it. The Spyder mechanic I frequent, who has installed them, tells me, "Forget it! It's a waste of time and money. Your OEM foot brake is designed to activate the entire system for a reason. But...

Looking for a 2008 GS Master Key - any ideas?

No such thing as a "master key," every Spyder key is different. Different cut and different chip. Because I have key issues, I have 4 chipped and cut keys ($55each+$10cut each). Wife has one, I have one, one at home in a drawer, and one hidden on the Spyder. Any one of them will start the...
