• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2010 RT turns over, but won't start - Any thoughts before I trailer it to the dealer?

When you turn the key on, do you hear the fuel pump energize?

Newbie to Spyders - I've just bought a 2012 RS Roadster! Have I done the right thing?!

I've never ridden an RS, but seeing where your foot rests are located, while not as severe as a crotch rocket, it's very similar. They force you forward to tuck behind the wind screen. To me, it would be fun to ride, but maybe not cross country.

Newbie to Spyders - I've just bought a 2012 RS Roadster! Have I done the right thing?!

Are there any adjustment for them? If you can make them work, it would straighten you up some.

Newbie to Spyders - I've just bought a 2012 RS Roadster! Have I done the right thing?!

I see your bike has Hyway pegs. Have you tried using them?

Anybody see a measurable change in fuel mileage with larger diameter rear tire?

Now far a serious question. What would a Stage II upgrade do for MPG on my bike as long as I don't change my riding style much? Knowing it will cost approximately $500 for the upgrade, will it ever pay for itself? To date since I have owned the bike my gas cost is $103.42/1000mi. Also I realize...

I get a Leg pain after riding the RT for more than half an hour - anyone else? Any solutions?

My pain quit after I installed my highway pegs. I use mine 99.5% of the time. I can now ride fill up to fill up with no pain.

Does a 2025 Sea to Sky have jam nuts on the inner tie-rod ends? Can someone look for me to confirm/deny?

Because your tie rod ends are a type of ball joint and not a fixed end, if one end is not locked down it has the potential to change over time. Go out and grab your tie rod and twist it. You will see it rocks back and forth. Without being locked down couldn't it screw in or out slightly on the...

Anybody see a measurable change in fuel mileage with larger diameter rear tire?

I record every trip by bike odometer and GPS odometer. Last year bike odometer recorded 15,509.5 and GPS was 15,616.4. Basically got 106.9 miles for free. Mileage was 37.62 for odometer and 37.88 by GPS. The most important thing was the original Kenda was changed at 10,355 miles and was scary...

    Winter Blues? No ride today...

I got a friend who trailered his bike down for Daytona bike week. Probably not too many bikini sightings yet. Hopefully the event will not be a total bust. I had a trip planned to ride down from IL but luckily it fell through. Maybe make it down to Panama City for their event in April.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Checked things out and did not find anything that I had any movement. In the course of checking things, I found that one of the locking nuts on one end of the tie rods were not tightened after the alignment. Of course it was one of the inner ones. Got it snugged up I think!

What did you do to your Spyder today?

They were scary to look at, but still handled the curves well. I was not too concerned as they are over engineered for our Spyders.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

The wear pattern was on the inside of both tires but was not consistent all the way around. Lots of cupping and several areas where the tread was noticeably thinner than other areas. Ran them at 17PSI. Had them remounted and rotated at 38,000 miles.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Got it lazer aligned today for the 1st time after installing new Vred 175/55 on the front Yesterday. The tech said it was out of spec by .75". I got 47,000 miles on the last set, so I can't wait to see how much I can get this time. Today is quite windy, so I'm anxious to give them a proper...

When should you change your Spark Plugs?

The range of gaps was .038 - .040. Installed at .036. Resistance range was 3.8K - 4.3K. These were the NGK CR7EIX plugs with 45,630 miles on them.

When should you change your Spark Plugs?

I recently replaced my spark plugs which had 45,630 miles on them. It's not because of the cost of the plugs but the procedure is such a PITA. These were the upgraded plugs over the OEM ones. I still have the used plugs and wondering if a resistance test would tell me anything about the...

Oil Leak on 2023 RTL caused by oil filter cap O-ring...

I always lube the threads of the cap with white lithium grease as plastic threads tend to grab when dry. I then torque at half torque first and check with the thinnest feeler gauge to make sure the mating surfaces are touching. I then torque to the low end of the specs. I then run it before I...

Yep. Glad I got her out for a cold ride yesterday.

Buying our first Spyder in the Spring - what should I be looking for?

For me it's service records and ride history over mileage. In competition with mine to see who lasts longer. If I was a betting man, I would put my money on her outlasting me!

Is it OK to run without the long air intake pipe on a 2016 RT Ltd?

The function of the duct is to bring colder air into the air box. Some of the stage II mods recommend drilling 2 1 inch holes in the cover of the air box to allow less air restriction.
