• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Kenda tires - I truly don't understand the hateful responses to Kenda tires. I have over 22,000 km on mine and they're only 50% worn.

I didn't get more than 9,000 miles on the rear Kenda OEM tires but I've been extremely pleased with the Kenda KR20 Kanine. I got around 14,000 miles on my first rear KR20 before I needed to replace it. What I've noticed about the Kenda tires, maybe why some people dislike them so much, is the...

Spyder RT Suspension feeling every bump in the road and occasionally shaking - how do I confirm if it's the shocks?

For the front tires, they are the Kenda KR20 Kanines also (not OEM), and the tread look fine with no signs of cupping. I didn't replace them this time around because they look like they could do another 6000 miles on them. OK, good another things to question with the dealer. With riding season...

Spyder RT Suspension feeling every bump in the road and occasionally shaking - how do I confirm if it's the shocks?

I usually keep my front at 18-20 lbs but I will lowering the pressure on my rear tire (I usually keep it at 27-28 lbs). These are all the original OEM shocks nearing 25,000 miles on them. I would say I'm having issues in both the front and rear, I'm getting more shaking form up front and feeling...

Spyder RT Suspension feeling every bump in the road and occasionally shaking - how do I confirm if it's the shocks?

I'm having a "new to me" problem with my 2017 Spyder RTL that I'm hoping others can point to me toward the cause of the problem. I'm the original owner. Over the summer, I've started to feel every bump in the road and occasionally shaking at a level I have never experienced before. I originally...

Missed this year's 3 Wheel Rally - any reports posted?

One advantage of the 3 Wheeler Rally if you are there to ride is less people on the roads and highways with it being a few weeks before the Sturgis Rally. The disadvantage is it's not the Sturgis Rally. ;)

Any feedback or Comments on the complexity of the RTL?

A good relationship with a dealer that has a good maintenance shop is always good. Due to work I never had time to do maintenance on my two Spyders so relied heavily on our local dealer to do the service work. Initially we had a rocky start but over the years the service department has great...

Missed this year's 3 Wheel Rally - any reports posted?

My wife and I made our fourth trip to the 3 Wheeler Rally in Deadwood. There were not a lot of vendors this year and to make things worse a storm took out one of the motorcycle accessory vendors the night before the event. Also there was also major road construction on Highway 385 that gets you...

What do you think of the 'New for 2025 - Spyder Canyon'?

I wonder how this thing will do in the snow? There are times in my neck of the woods during early Spring when I've gone riding and have had a section of the road with snow. Even going slowly the Spyder RTL can't handle it (no traction).

    Front Sprocket Correction at Dealership

I just called my dealer to schedule an oil change for my 2017 and had hoped the front sprocket would also be replaced. According to the service department they still haven't received any of the new sprockets. I know BRP says even in the recall notice that there are supply chain issues but this...

    Fault code P0340

In my case, the dealer had a three week wait before he could even look at my Spyder. The only reason I waited and took it in was because it was still under (extended) warranty. My understanding is that it's not too difficult to replace yourself. If you do take it to the dealer, I'd make sure...

2023 rumors - anyone heard anything about the 2023 release?

I would be all in for a shaft drive.

Need Warranty work done - should I remove mods first?

Agree with this statement, year, model, and codes would help. If the codes are related to the mod then it might be good to remove the mod and see if the codes clear on their own. If the codes aren't related...your mods shouldn't be a factor. The only mods I remove are the ones I want to protect...

    Fault code P0340

Today my Spyder was serviced for the P0340 code and indeed it needed the camshaft position sensor. Normally they wouldn't have had the part and I would have waited another week for the Spyder to get serviced. But with the confidence this forum gave me, I ordered the part ahead of time so it was...

    Fault code P0340

And I would have appreciated that. I told my wife when this happened it's too bad it was at the beginning of the trip instead of the end because I could have found someone related to DW3 that likely could fix this for me. I'm hoping my dealer has the part when my appointment arrives

    Fault code P0340

Well, last week I was heading out to the Three-Wheeler Rally in Deadwood and with only 20 miles into the trip, my 2017 Spyder RTL went into limp home mode. Error code P0340. Got it home and thankfully my wife and I were able to share her Spyder for the rest of the week. I spent a part of it as a...

    Leaving key in ignition

Good discussion as I always wondered too about the whole key/chip possibly causing battery or startup issues. Good to know there is no impact. With regards to the practice of leaving the key in the ignition when in the garage...wouldn't recommend it if you have a child or grandchild in the...

After advice from couples that ride separate bikes.

My wife and I take turns on who is leading. It's about a 50/50 split. More times than not it's the flow of traffic and switching lanes that will cause us to change who is the lead. When we ride with a large group of course we would remain in position, but when it's just the two of us the...

Interesting news out of BRP on electrification.

Exactly. And perhaps where we can recharge when on the road.

Interesting news out of BRP on electrification.

From what I read, the sales of small-gas engines (mowers, snow blower, leave blower, etc) would be banned by 2024 and portable gas-powered generators by 2028. Well at least it bans the sales and not the use. Despite having converted to all battery-powered for my mower, snow blower, and outdoor...
