• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Anyone tried a/mkt Heated pads for a 2011 RT-S?

Already have the heated jacket liner and gloves but sometimes when the temps are cool the heated seat feels good. I very seldom use the heated jacket and gloves just add another layer and turn on my grips.

    Anyone tried a/mkt Heated pads for a 2011 RT-S?

Has anyone tried an aftermarket heated pad on the Can Am? Live in SC so I won't need the heat often but I have had bikes in the past with the heated seats and enjoyed them. Just never had any experience with the aftermarket pads. Thanks in advance for the help and you will not hurt my...

Buying our first Spyder in the Spring - what should I be looking for?

Be careful spending too much on your wife's Can Am, because after being around hers, you might just want one yourself. I am 78 and have ridden 2 wheels since I was 14 years old. I had always said that I would never ride a 3 wheeler, but an accident and age caught up with me, I bought a used RT...

Looking at 2018 F3 S with manual transmission - will I be unhappy leaving an SE5 for an SM6?

I currently have a 2011 RT-SE5 with 30K miles on it. I am looking at 2018 F3 with about 13K miles with saddlebags but no trunk. My question is will I be unhappy coming off of the semi-automatic transmission to 6 speed manual. I ride solo most of the time and I'm thinking about upgrading to the...

Considering a 2012 RT - Any one out there have good words on them?

I am 78 and ride a 2011 RT-S and I really like the high torque engine. I guess I am still 18 years old trapped in a 78 year old body. I ride with several buddies that have the 1330 engine and they have not left me yet. The biggest problem is the MPG sucks and the dealer does not want to work...

Can the Passenger Back Rest on a 2025 S2S be moved forward a few inches? Not the whole trunk, just the backrest...

I don't think it would be hard to remove backrest and take to an upholstery shop and get it recovered with extra foam. Good luck. Leon

Parking Brake Light Will Not Turn Off - but Parking Brake works! Any ideas?

Everything looks normal on my RT and is working properly. Took off the tupperware and looked at the wheel and the sensory switch, and the motor comes on and opens and shuts like it is supposed to, but the light stays on. Even pushed the sensory switch down manually with my finger and the brake...

Looking at an '09 RS SM5 - are they Reliable & Easy to work for DIY repairs & maintenance? What about Electronics?

Check in your area to see if an independent wrench has BUDS. There is a rare need for it, but if you would become interested in working on Spyders for others it might be a nice sideline. Good luck. I would say if you bought it "ride it like you stole it". Because these 998 engines love to be...

    UNSEEN DISABILITIES

I am 78 and have a bad heart. I appear healthy but do have problems. I go until I feel tired and then I sit a spell. My RT has been a blessing to me because it makes me feel "normal". Thanks for sharing, because just because someone looks healthy, do not say anything about them being in a...

Has anyone else noticed excessive Right side front tire wear?

I had wear like this on one of my front tires on my 2011 RT. Had front end aligned 10K miles ago and tire is still good, the wear did not get any worse. By the way mine was also the right front. Leon
