I just bought the Can Am Spyder S2S Luggage - sidebags excellent, trunk or top box bag not so much!

I just bought the internal luggage bags for my 2026 S2S from Can Am.

The side bags were excellent, fitted the inside of the panniers well. They were semi rigid in design and came with very good shoulder straps with nice metal connectors. These were high quality items and seem well made.

The luggage bag for the rear top box or trunk was another matter. It does not have the same kind of semi rigid construction as the side bags. It was difficult to get it to stand up in the top box without collapsing. The connectors for the shoulder strap were just cheap plastic and overall the bag seemed less well constructed. It seems like they were sourced from completely different vendors and made from very different materials.

So for the money, the side bags were not cheap, but were well constructed and probably worth it. The trunk bag was probably not worth the money in my opinion, seemingly a more cheaply constructed item I could have probably sourced off of Amazon for a lower price.

I didn't buy the frunk luggage as that is were all my waterproofs, spare clothing and gloves etc live. I might yet move those items to the rear trunk and buy the semi rigid frunk luggage (which looks from the catalogue like it might match the side cases) and return the rear trunk bag.

Having carried items in various makeshift bags back and forth to hotels since 2021 when I bought my prior RT LTD, I think the proper fitted bags are the way to go, certainly for the side bags. I'm going to order the frunk case/bag tomorrow and if it is a better item I'm going to return my trunk bag for a refund.

I have the little roller Can Am suit case for the frunk that came with one of the used Spyders I bought. It fits snuggly in the frunk and it well made. It appears it fits in the older and new models. It is $280.99 new. You might find someone that has one and it not using it, that would sell it.

I bought all four pieces of the CAN-AM luggage and have used them a couple of times.
I agree that the large bag for the top case isn't perfect, in fact from a piece-of-luggage standpoint I think it's very awkward because of it's size.

I just went and checked my bags, and the clips and connectors for the shoulder straps are plastic on the large bag for the top case, but they are also plastic on the two bags for the saddlebags. And while there is a bit of plastic reinforcing the outer edges to maintain the shape, they are not at all rigid...and the bag for the top case has the same reenforcement around the outer edge.

And a bit of time with Google found that CAN-AM now sells a pair of Semi-Rigid Rear Side Cargo Travel bags. List price is US $317.99. SKU 219400169
The ones I have are different, and are the same size, but are Soft Side Cargo Travel Bags. List price is us $76.29. SKU 219400172

I just did a search by those SKU numbers on a website that sells CAN-AM products and it found the semi-rigid number, but said the soft side part didn't exist. So it looks like CAN-AM has upgraded the side cases...and the price.

I just went to the CAN-AM website and searched for accessories for my 2024 Spyder RT. It found 39 accessories, and required me to click a "more" link to show everything. At the bottom of the page there are separate listings for the soft sided bags and the semi-rigid bags.

And yes, the soft sided top case bag was also listed. But no semi-rigid top case bag.

Edit: I have the semi-hard side roller case for my front trunk and love how it fits!

I have a set of side bags and the frunk bag (have owned 2 frunk bags, but sold one). They fit perfect and hold a lot of stuff. But the plastic handles on everyone that I have owned broke. One set was only used 2 times and the other funk bag was never used. They still come in handy.

Granted mine is an antique at 2012, but it came with the semi rigid bags as part of the Limited package. Two side bags, one frunk bag ( very nice with wheels), and one trunk bag,too small to be useful for very much. That bag gets little to no use, but the other three are very useful and very well made.

Yes, mine were the semi rigid side cases and although not cheap, their metal clasps and the overall quality of their construction, makes the pricing a little more understandable. After looking at the frunk roller bag case I think I’m going to go that route. I’ll put all the waterproof gear, spare gloves, tire pump, folding walking stick, and all the other junk I carry in the top box trunk. The trunk bag is going back, I can’t see it carrying all my wife’s “essential items” without breaking at the strap links. The weight distribution should be better that way as well with the heavier stuff up front.

Is it me, and I dare not ask her this question, but why do we have to carry items like a particular hair drier and straightening tongs? I can fit about a weeks stuff in one side case, but she seems to need every other square inch of space the bike has. In fact, she’ll look at me sideways, even eyeing my single side bag, when the bike is full and I imply there is no room for the other items stacked on the garage floor and I tentatively suggest she has to choose what to leave behind. This stage of preparation never seems to go well.

I’m hoping that pre-packing these inner bags whilst in the house will determine what we can carry before it gets to packing items in the garage. Well I live in hope that she doesn’t discover there is a luggage rack accessory available.

Google found metal racks from Show Chrome and Spyder Extras that mount on top of the top case.
Spyder Extras also makes a Bungee Net for the rack.

The Show Chrome rack is 18 1/2" x 12" for US $167.

The Spyder Extras rack comes in two sizes: 18 1/2" x 14 1/2" and 24 1/2" x 15".
The large rack with a bungie net runs about US $250.

CAN-AM also makes one for US $300. No dimension I could find, but I found a picture that looks very small.
The pictures of the other two racks mounted cover more of the top case.


As for why she needs her stuff? Happy wife, happy life.
