• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just When You Think You've Seen It All...

Now I don't feel so bad when I let mine get down to about 1/2 a millimeter.

12 injured after the Rider of a Spyder loses control in Brooklyn, NY

When I took the Spyder driving class there was a particular lady that was dumber than a brick. Along with other operational issues, she couldn't manage to follow the figure eight pattern laid out by the instructor, even after watching the rest of the class do it multiple times. Everyone in the...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

One of the things I like about this great forum is the similarities between me and so many of the other members. I also am continuously working through the never ending honey do list as well as trying to find time to ride and tinker with the Spyder. I've been power washing the back patio in...

Pleased with my Smooth Spyder Belt Tensioner for my RS

On the other hand, my 2020 F3S came with the OEM dampener which failed at close to 10,000 miles. Ran it for a while without the dampener but the vibrations were not to my liking. I've been using the Lamonster dampener for a few years now with no problems. I've replaced the roller once just...

    Life's Little Pleasures...

I'm going through the same thing with my 27 year old son. Blows his money on stupid things and then doesn't have any money to get his car repaired when something comes up. I just paid $900 yesterday to get his car repaired and it still needs more work but at least it's safe.

    Random thought for the day

Regarding the phone listening and then getting ads: a couple of years ago when my Dad was dying, I started getting ads for cremation services. Shameful in my opinion.

There really are no alternatives to the Can Am reverse trikes

I was also thinking that there might be patent issues involved. I would think the patents for VSS would be expiring soon. Then maybe we'll see some competing machines come into the market?

    Happy Birthday

Today is my birthday! I'm just going to be hanging around the house today doing some spring yard work, do a couple errands, and then going out for a steak dinner tonight with my family. I might take the Spyder out for one of the errands.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

On a ride last week, one of my friends noticed that one of my rear brake lights was out. So I replace both light bulbs today.

Do I have correct windshield hardware F3S? Any Ideas on what to do now?

That is the same hardware as I had on mine. There was no additional cap. I think it's meant to breakaway if you had an accident and hit the windshield.

When is the Price of gas going to stop rising?

“Gas prices will increase until nobody needs gas anymore.”

Yes it’s the age old tire question… What's currently the best replacement?

I'm in Connecticut as well. I bring my Spider's wheels to Town Fair and they can mount them but not balance them. I balance them myself at home.

Is the fuel gauge accurate on an F3?

There is probably some variation bike to bike. But my experience is that the fuel gauge is somewhat conservative and seems to have more than a gallon or two left when it indicates empty.

    The 'Full Synthetic' Myth Exposed

I didn't know this, but I'm glad to have been using Mobil 1 in my Spyder and my GMC Yukon all these years.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Here's what the plugs looked like at 57,000 miles. The central electrodes look great, there is some wear of the ground side electrodes. I wasn't having any issues but they were long past the recommended change interval. Based on previous spark plug discussions here, I think I made the right...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Replaced the spark plugs on my 2020 F3S. Fun job. Lot's of stuff to take apart to get to them. All back together with only 3 extra screws!

Looking for new Comms - what do you use?

I had the UClear Motion Infinity sets for snowmobiling and then put them on our Spyder helmets for the summer. They worked well but in time had problems with their flimsy connectors and the rubber parts eventually disintegrated. Most of my friends had Sena's so I purchased a set of Sena 50S...
