• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I'll use my Ram mount as EZ pass holder - what do you use?

On my 2022 RTL I installed it under my windshield adhered to the gloss black decorative square using the EZ-Pass velcro tabs. I only remove it if I'm towing my trike. 4 years and it's still in place.

I have an I-Pass (usually works in EZ-Pass areas too) and now carry it in a pocket on my left sleeve (Klim jacket). Back in the two wheel days, I started with lanyard & mess bag which I pulled out of a chest pocket and waved around. That worked fairly well. Then I moved to a handle bar mount made to hold the I-Pass. It too worked well, but I felt compelled to remove and secure it whenever leaving the bike to visit a site or do some hiking, and that started to be a hassle. So now, it is on my sleeve. It has worked well too, but it did miss a charge in Illinois in May.

YMMV

On my 2024 RTL I used the "velcro" tabs to mount it to the back of the windshield, dead center below the two vent holes. I move the transponder among vehicles, 4 total. Velcro'd to the windshield on 3 of them; on my Beemer I put it into the clear plastic window on the top of my tank bag.

I have a 2023 RTL and my EZ Pass is under the lid of the Frunk. I have had no issues with mine, but I also wonder if some of the older systems have problems picking the signal up? Most of the Bridges and highway tolls in the Mid Atlantic, where I do a lot of riding, have eye level and overhead cameras to pick up the Pass signal. I'm not sure I would even remember to reach into my pocket to hold it up. But I'm always open to new ideas.

I have put it in the glove box in the dash, which seemed to work just fine.
Interesting - I had three toll tags/transponders with me on the trip and kept two of them in that top compartment on the dash. Never got double charged, but I should have if they were being read from there.

I dunno about how it happens over your way, but here in Oz, if you've got multiple tags/transponders that are 'readable', they are supposedly 'required' to only charge the 'strongest' read, ie. the one that's out/most accessible/most readable. ;)
