pull back bars with stock console?

Does anyone make pull bar bars that you can use with the stock console? All I can find is ones where you have to switch out the console.

Not sure if this is exactly what you are looking for but HeliBars makes a pull back riser that shifts the entire stock handlebar setup back a few inches.

Thanks forthe link bjt. I don't like the Helibars because of the way ignition is separated from the console. I am having a hard time finding that keeps the stock look. I do have the 1" riser but its useless to me, I still have shoulder/back issues when riding.

Brandy, do a search on the forum for "risers" and you will find many different choices and opinions. I too am looking for more rise and pullback and can't decide on the Kewl Metal or Easy Riders.

You may need to find a couple of folks who have risers installed, sit on their spyder's, and see which one feels the best to you.

you wont find any that are moore than the easy risers,4and half the wires wont let any more than that,and you already got the 1 inch so your only going to do 3 inch,that that.hang on and ride like the wind.:thumbup::2thumbs::chat:

After talking with my parts guy today, I'm just about ready to pull the trigger on the Helibars - here's why:
1) No cutting of the handlebars
2) No worrying whether the grips will fall off (note: I have never heard of this happening and hope I never do - I just tend to worry about the details)
3) The Helibars bolt directly to the steering column without modifying the handlebars
4) I have sat on an RS with this installed and it felt very nice and comfortable
5) I have the option of adding a power outlet and Ram ball (big plus for me)

I don't care much for having the ignition switch behind, and lower, than the handlebars, but I suppose it's a minor thing considering how much rise they offer. When I look at each of the options, none of them really look "stock" to me, so might as well go with something that I know is stable and gives me the rise I need. Not to mention, if I want to remove the Helibars, I can do it without having to go out and buy a new handlebar console.

Great list of reasons why the HeliBar is a really viable option. I have it. After a while you won't even notice that it isn't the stock set up. So what that the ignition is slightly down and back. No one has ever commented on my arrangement looking weird. It just "is". It works!

Why is it so hard to decide??

At the risk of sounding fickle, I am now contemplating going with a NMN-type of riser.

Marilyn, I've been following the thread about Helibars and tank bags, and have to say that I would really like to have a tank bag, so the Helibars may not be my best option.

I've also realized that although the Helibars offer a rise and pullback, the NMN-type risers offer a greater amount of flexability when it comes to rise and pullback; whereas Helibars is static.

They're a lot cheaper than ESI's. Rivco: $199 for black anodized aluminum vs ESI: $259 for the same.

I understand the issue with no tank bag option. Believe me, I do! I'm not sure what I would have done for risers if my dealer had not pushed the Helibar riser at my first service. This is what they had. I sat on a Spyder with them installed. It seemed to be just what I wanted.

I really do think that you will get used to lookinng at whatever setup you choose. Some say the Helibar is ugly. But I was talking to two guys about my Spyder today in a parking lot. Not one of them said anything about my handlebars.

I'm hoping the Ski-Doo handlebar bag works. I don't like waiting for the site I've found to get them in. But, I'm not paying $30+ in shipping!!!!! Some sites out there are just out to gouge you BIG TIME!!!!

You will be happy with whatever you go with as it will make ryding much more comfortable!!!!

Did you keep the stock cables with the helibar risers?:dontknow:

Yes.

Helibar says you can keep the stock cables and even have the BRP 1" riser combined.

My dealer said, "No". I had the BRP 1" and they took that off to install the Helibar riser
