I was looking for something that maybe someone found the could bolt up to the sports rear rack (have a dealer that really helps me out).
Probably is something out there, I'll just keep looking.

FYI that still used the rack & just replaced the lid:lecturef_smilie: Ive found sports racks on eBay $100.us. or so usually not the color I want. :dontknow: Not too bad a thing if you can powdercoat. This vid shows more of why the base is neededThanks for posting that one Bfromla, I had been looking for an alternative to the sports rack which are stupidly expensive here. Hadn't thought of making one myself but that base would be a good starting point.
.......for 2013 RSS. I have the OEM one, but it is so small and doesn't have any good attachment points for bungee cords. I was wondering what others might have done, besides put a rear trunk on with a rack mounted on top. Searched, but didn't find anything that worked.

Was there today to show him what I needed. Have a appointment to have him install my new rack on Thursday.
Sometimes I need a kick in the butt! Will post pictures when the rack is installed.
