• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Welcome, Handydan

Thanks. I am currently negotiating with a dealership here in South Carolina to purchase a 2026 RT S2S Mars Red, and am anxiously awaiting their reply, trading in a 2021 Harley CVO Tri Glide, for better ride comfort. At our age, racing around on a sport suspension just wasn't making the grade anymore.

Soooo, I would like some nice comfort features that are probably gonna be aftermarket vendors
1. Passenger armrests with a drink holder specifically for Contigo West Loop style S.S. Mug, had Kuryakyn (the chrome ones with a mesh side and rubber little nipples to hold various sized drinks/mugs) on my last 2 Harleys but it appears they are NLA. I have read some of y'all's postings about this very same thing but not to many follow up comments as to real use for a while.

2. Looked into Ron Jon anti sway bar, sounds like this is pretty much standard operating procedure or could this wait till winter, have a multi state 3 to 4K trip planned in 4 to 6 weeks to Canada into Dakotas', etc.

3. Driver and passenger foot pegs, I think are a must for long days and moving your leg position around.

4. Lighting; Forward lighting, not just to be more visible but to provide additional lighting on the edges of the freeway and or back roads at night, deer you know!
Rear; The S2S has a high mount trunk light in addition to the lower run lights, any other additions to those?

Thank you in advance for your input and iffin you live here in SC's Lowcountry give me a shout and we'd like to meet and greet.

Welcome to the forum Handydan, I hope you enjoy it. I would recommend that you ride as is for a while before you go to the new sway bar so you will know the difference between them or you may like what you have. Spend some time looking around the forum and enjoying your new ride you will see the different shops that have all the upgrades you may want. some shops like Lamonster Garage https://www.lamonstergarage.com/, Value Accessories, Bajarons https://bajarons.com/, SpyderPops https://spyderpops.com/ and many more.. Hope your able to get the Spyder RT sea to sky your looking at.

Well YeeHaw, sewed up the deal yesterday with Ride Now Powersports Concord North Carolina and will take delivery next week. We have an extended bike trip planned in August to Green Bay Wisconsin, into Canada, Dakotas, and wherever else the front wheels take us.

My question is this; best practices for break in of 600 miles, no problem. I'll have 700 to 800 miles on it b 4 we leave. first oil change is 3000 miles, granted it appears factory oil is 10-30 full synthetic, we may and probably will have more, closer to 4K, miles when we get home to South Carolina some 3 weeks later. Would you? Change out the oil b 4 leaving on trip ( I use Amsoil) or wait and let dealership do that first service which is more than just oil change and not get grief as to being over 3K for the service.

Thanks
